Welcome to learn everyday Finnish at Joutsenon Opisto’s summer course!
The Everyday Finnish course is intended for Finnish as a Second Language (S2) learners who have already studied some Finnish but wish to develop especially their spoken skills and become familiar with colloquial language. During the course, participants learn common everyday phrases and expressions and practice understanding informal Finnish. Speaking is practiced in pairs and small groups through practical examples and real-life situations. The goal is for students to feel confident speaking Finnish and to better understand how the language is used in daily interactions.
Classes are held on weekdays from 9:00 to 13:30. Course materials are provided by the teacher. The extent of the course is 2.5 ECTS credits (2 weeks).
The course fee is €30 per week (including instruction). During 1–12 June, the school cafeteria will be closed, but students can store and heat their own meals at the institute.
The course begins on 1st June 2026 and ends on 12th June 2026.
Application period is 1.3.-18.5.2026.
